We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Fullstack Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team in Toronto. Our team is focused on digital platforms creating world-class analytics products. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the evolution of our infrastructure.
What will you do
- Architect and develop scalable and robust fullstack applications using React and backend technologies.
- Design and implement microservices and containerized applications using Kubernetes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality across the stack.
- Lead the development of high-quality code ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What do you need to succeed
Must-have:
- Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with 7 years of experience in fullstack development.
- Proficiency in React and backend technologies ( with Java streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka Streams Java Streams API).
- Proven experience in architecting and developing scalable applications.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Leadership skills and experience working with technical teams (Developers/Quality Engineers/Business Analysts).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of capital markets and electronic trading flows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
