Job Description

The HR Specialist will provide comprehensive support to the HR team and employees across the organization by coordinating onboarding processes maintaining HR systems and records supporting payroll and benefits administration and compliance reporting. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless employee experience and maintaining the integrity of HR operations.

This position is based on-site 5 days a week in our Dallas TX headquarters. Up to 20% travel may be needed. Relocation assistance is not available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all aspects of new hire onboarding including scheduling orientation sessions preparing materials collecting necessary documentation and ensuring timely system and payroll setup.
  • Regularly update employee data in HRIS and payroll systems to reflect changes in employment status compensation personal information and organizational structure.
  • Create and maintain accurate up-to-date organizational charts reflecting current reporting structures and positions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations for all employee locations including registering for new state tax accounts when needed.
  • Maintain secure and organized personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for workers compensation claims coordinate with insurance carriers complete required documentation and track claim status.
  • Support the Payroll Administer and payroll process by auditing time records verifying deductions processing updates and assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit required federal state and local compliance reports accurately and on time.
  • Assist with benefits administration including enrollments changes terminations and responding to employee benefits questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws regulations and best practices.
  • Provide additional support as needed for the HR Team and Payroll Administrator

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of HR practices employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS ATS and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in an HR Support Role
  • Biotech or tech industry experience is preferred
Pay Range
$65000$85000 USD
