Job Description

The Non-Motorized Maintenance Technician is a part-time position that requires the individual to work a maximum of 29 hours per week.

The Technician provides assistance to team members responsible for maintaining the Citys non-motorized network of sidewalks pathways and boardwalks. Non- motorized maintenance activities include but are not limited to vegetation clearing panel grinding and replacement asphalt repair installation of fencing and/or guardrails wooden decking and structural support replacement and installation of signage. The Technician also performs asset inspections and logs data in the Citys Asset Management program.

In the winter months the Technician may be required to remove snow and ice from roadways or parking lots and assist with basic preventative maintenance on the Citys fleet. The Technician may also be required to assist with inspection of non-motorized snow clearing activities after contractual snow removal is completed.

The successful candidate should have a proven capability to work independently under varying levels of direct supervision. Hourly rate starts at $18. Questions can be directed to the City of Novis Human Resources department at or
