BACKGROUND:
WFP established a Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) practice and branch four years ago to purposefully plan for manage and prepare its future workforce to respond effectively to the increasing demands of the organisation within a globally complex environment. The SWP branch partners with WFPs management functional areas subject matter experts and HR colleagues to translate organizational strategies into actionable workforce plans and implement them across the organisation. The branch also supports operational workforce planning advicing country offices on the right structures to deliver on their objectives.
ROLE:
This role is based in the Workforce Planning and Strategy Team supporting the design delivery and monitoring of workforce plans as well as organisational alignment reviews across the organisation. This position reports directly to the head of the unit and drives data analytics activities related to SWP and Org Alignment (OA) across WFP. The role utilises dedicated technological tools for both SWP and OA to conduct advanced analysis to help WFP make better decisions about the future of its workforce by generating insights and actions from complex data. The role works in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like WFP so this role includes but is not limited to the following accountabilities:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support the collection interpretation and validation of workforce data and its in-depth analysis. Assess and analyse data and indicators connected to internal workforce organisational structures and future demand for talent for the organisation based on the strategic direction. Develop compelling data visualizations reports and presentations to communicate SWP and OA insights to decision-makers. Design and support the development of communication materials tailored for diverse internal audiences ensuring clarity and accessibility. Assist in the design coordination and implementation of an online training program on organizational design including logistics content structuring and platform readiness. Provide support to project leads through preparatory research documentation and facilitation of knowledge management systems to ensure long-term accessibility of deliverables and learnings. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Advanced university Degree in Data Science Economics Business Administration Human Resources Management or other related field. A first level university degree with additional years of relevant experience and/or training may be accepted.
