Tankering Operations Manager
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Tankering Operations Manager to lead and coordinate our Tankering and wastewater response teams on the Anglian Water contract. You will be responsible for managing field operations related to both planned and reactive works across the wastewater network. This is a Monday to Friday contract 47.5 hours per week.

As a Tankering Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing:
- Managing the scheduling of all tankering workload delivering both planned and emergency reactive tankering services.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with SLAs environmental standards and customer expectations.
- Monitor and maintain the operational readiness safety and compliance of all vehicles and equipment used on night operations.
- Drive a strong health & safety culture across the team ensuring full compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide effective communication and coordination across the night shift team ensuring operatives are briefed supported and up to date.
- React swiftly and effectively to unplanned events such as flooding pollution incidents and urgent customer issues ensuring appropriate resources are dispatched.
- Work and support teams covering all shift patterns to ensure smooth handovers continuity of service and reporting of key issues or follow-on requirements.
- Support the development of operational improvements and contribute to contract performance reviews.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as scheduling fleet sales and compliance to align operations with business goals.
- Carry out field visits when needed to support operatives check compliance and resolve issues on site.
About You:
- Previous experience in logistical management is essential
- Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 penalty points).
- Excellent IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and operational software systems.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities with a proven ability to manage teams and resources efficiently.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
- Experience in optimising workforce productivity and maximising asset utilisation.
- A flexible hands-on approach with the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
