Sentralis a trusted cloud-based software provider managing school administration student data and parent engagement for over 3000 schools across Australia. From staff to teachers and parents our platform removes the administrative burden to enable school communities to focus on student outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As aProduct Owner youll be the voice of the customer and play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Sentral Core SIS product. Reporting to the Product Manager youll work closely with cross-functional teams including developers designers QA and internal stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions. Your role will span from managing the product backlog and defining user stories to steering feature development and ensuring that customer needs remain at the heart of everything we do.

This is a high-impact role where youll enjoy a strong level of autonomy and be the connector between customer-facing teams and technical delivery.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs and clearly communicate these to both onshore and offshore development teams
  • Breakdown and translate complex business problems into actionable Epics and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria to enable iterative delivery
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog to ensure alignment with overall business goals and strategic initiatives
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer championing their needs across all stages of product development
  • Validate solutions throughout the development lifecycle using customer feedback testing and data to ensure they meet user and business needs
  • Capture and communicate customer insights using techniques such as user journey mapping emotional mapping process diagrams and prototyping
  • Drive change and foster a culture of collaboration and ownership within development teams
  • Train Customer Success and internal stakeholders on new features and product updates
  • Prepare clear and informative release notes for customers
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of product development
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and maturity of product management practices at Sentral

Salary

  • The salary range for this role is $120 000 -base superannuation

Youll bring:

  • 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an agile (ideally Scrum) environment
  • A proven track record delivering SaaS products in a software vendor setting
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • A collaborative self-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Curiosity empathy and a passion for continuous improvement and customer success

  • Ability to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check
