As the Lead Process Engineer you will provide engineering support and leadership within the Child Care Develop & Commercialize Team supporting both the Pull-Ups and Goodnites brands. The primary focus will be to finalize the process and technology solutions to enable the commercialization of renovation and innovation programs. You will lead/support all process activities in the D&C space to ensure technical readiness is achieved through launch and remain connected to end-to-end process development ranging from early process definition/Discovery to Business Continuity and may support as prioritization requires. Activities are focused across our North American Personal Care facilities. This role will provide process engineering leadership and support in the form of developing and executing plans for the optimization of and improvement to the manufacturing and converting processes for the existing product forms as well as develop direct and execute evolutionary changes to the process as dictated by changing business conditions.

In this role you will:

  • Provide process engineering support and leadership to a team of internal and external engineers and developers to establish equipment designs that deliver against process and product success criteria. Involvement focused in D&C but may span from project inception through commercialization.

  • Provide definition and clarity in the design development and optimization of Personal Care converting and manufacturing equipment and processes to meet business unit objectives.

  • Work closely with the product material and engineering leads to provide functional guidance in the design development and/or optimization of converting equipment/processes to meet unit objectives.

  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective implementer of engineering principles trials qualifications scientific analysis and project management.

  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective subject matter expert in advanced process development and documentation.

  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes policies and guidelines.

  • Provide for the safety and well-being of operators maintenance and other personnel.

  • Seek recognize define and solve problems to achieve unit objectives.

  • A Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant scientific discipline

  • 3 or more years of engineering experience

  • Strong technical expertise communication and problem-solving ability

  • Analytical skills to collect and assess data to support technical recommendations

  • Ability to work within a team-based environment

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred (not essential but desired):

  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing of personal care products

  • Effectively demonstrate leadership and behaviors to align with K-Cs Ways of Working

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate across functions/departments

  • Experience with external technical service sourcing and supply vendor partners

  • Technical knowledge and experiences with high-speed manufacturing equipment

  • Prior exposure to plant/manufacturing experiences

The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as location role skills performance and experience.
