Job Description
At Alabama Goodwill Industries (AGI) our mission is to help change lives through the power of work. We serve our community by offering employment development services and job placement assistance. Our programs are funded through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores.
The Key Holder plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the store. This position is responsible for assisting with opening and closing procedures safeguarding assets ensuring excellent customer service and supporting team members in their roles. The Key Holder also helps maintain proper inventory control and store appearance ultimately supporting revenue growth to fund our mission services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Deliver 100% world-class customer service to all guests and donors.
- Assist with opening and closing the store including:
- Basic cash handling
- Documenting team member attendance
- Assigning daily duties
- Completing WESA functions
- Ensure proper handling and processing of donated goods.
- Adhere to loss prevention and risk management policies.
- Maintain a neat clean organized and safe retail environment.
- Support inventory control and rotation of merchandise to maintain a fresh and full sales floor.
- Ensure statistical and operational tasks are completed accurately (e.g. donor counts register pulls daily reports cash deposits).
- Make daily bank deposits when assigned.
- Uphold AGI policies related to image safety cleanliness and security.
- Demonstrate alignment with AGIs Guiding Principles and Core Values.
- Attend required in-service training and team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or key holder experience in a preferred retail or similar environment.
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Valid drivers license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift push pull or carry objects as required by the job.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
