rockITdata isseeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) to join our team supporting a mission-critical Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) program. This position plays a pivotal role in developing managing and maintaining the programs master schedule ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and understands the nuances of federal healthcare IT initiatives. Outstanding opportunity for significant growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex multi-year VA programs using MS Project or equivalent tools.
- Coordinate inputs from multiple project managers functional leads and external partners to ensure accurate schedule alignment and dependency tracking.
- Identify and resolve schedule conflicts resource constraints and critical path risks.
- Conduct regular schedule status reviews with VA stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
- Support integrated project planning Earned Value Management (EVM) and reporting to ensure schedule adherence and performance tracking.
- Generate and present schedule status reports dashboards and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Incorporate Agile Waterfall or hybrid delivery methods into scheduling as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with VA PMAS TMS and other federal delivery frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Engineering Information Technology or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience as a scheduler or project controls analyst on federal programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles (PMBOK EVM critical path method).
- Ability to work onsite in Rosslyn VA 45 days a week.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- PMP or PMI-SP certification.
- Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
- Familiarity with VA-specific tools such as PMAS Jira or ServiceNow.
- Prior experience working with system integrators or federal health contractor
