A Day in the Life

Medtronic is looking for detail-oriented Assemblers to join our pouching and packaging team at the Billerica site.

This role is critical in ensuring that our medical devices are packaged with the highest quality standards to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in medical device packaging a strong quality mindset and familiarity with regulated processes.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm.

Environment: Cleanroom standards apply. PPE is provided and must be worn in the manufacturing area.

Compensation:

  • Base hourly rate: $24/hr
  • Quarterly Operations Incentive bonus
  • PTO - 4 weeks / year

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pouching and packaging operations to ensure devices are sealed and packaged correctly.
  • Conduct visual inspections for defects such as bubbles or improper seals ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Complete and maintain accurate quality documentation including final checks and process records.
  • Operate packaging equipment and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pouching processes.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to address any issues or deviations identified during inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance packaging processes and reduce waste.

Minimum Qualifications (Must Have!):

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical device packaging or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience in final packaging or quality inspection roles.
  • Understanding of ISO and FDA regulations related to medical device packaging.
  • Experience working with pouching or sealing equipment.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$45200.00 - $67800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The starting base rate of pay for this position and location is $24 per hour. The base rate is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
