JOB SUMMARY
Skilled Graduate Student Worker - A&S Deans Office
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support event planning for College Awards Wine and Cheese Event and conferences supported by the Office of the Dean
- Coordinating the Deans Advising Council meetings providing essential support for proposed initiatives.
- Work directly with DAC members to facilitate successful initiatives following up as appropriate.
- Manage and staff the Deans Speaker Series every Friday including speaker coordination meetings poster creation promotion and presentation assistance.
- Take charge of program marketing efforts ensuring effective communication and outreach.
- Contribute to day-to-day college operations providing strategic support and communication.
- Assist in various special projects including event coordination recruitment for graduate and undergraduate programs and retention initiatives
- Answer phones in the Deans Office during work study/secretarial staff absence directing students appropriately.
- Communicate with students via email writing and phone calls.
- Provide exemplary customer service to students faculty and staff.
- Attend events as requested.
- Undertake additional assignments as needed by the Interim Dean and his team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree required; acceptance into a Graduate Program
- Understanding of and willingness to support Seton Hall Universitys Catholic mission.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with high levels of tact responsibility proactive thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent social media skills particularly with Instagram and engagement with student trends.
- Creativity
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
