Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.
We are currently implementing a flexible hybrid way of working with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role this can flex up to 12 days a month with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly.

The Digital and Technology Group lies at the heart of the Agency and is responsible for delivering an optimised IT infrastructure and maximising the secure use of data to enable the rest of the organisation to deliver world class services. Its centre of excellence is also responsible for delivering a broad portfolio of change initiatives both to transform the Agencys legacy technologies and to deliver innovative new solutions designed around our customers needs.
Within Digital and Technology Group the Digital and Service Design Group (D&SDG) provides a number of services through its practice-based model including user-research service design business analysis change management and product management. D&SDG owns the customer experience for the division and is currently building its in-house capabilities around Digital Product Management and User Centred Design.
Whats the role
This is a high-profile role working directly with the business to understand their needs and help assess these and align them to the agencys overall strategic priorities and our agreed Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) approach.
Working alongside colleagues across the division the post holders will play a fundamental role in the iterative design and continuous improvement of digital products and services at MHRA.
The post holders will be required to develop and maintain a strong understanding of the changing needs and demands on our users acting as the voice of the user and will also be instrumental in familiarising all stakeholders with a new delivery approach in the agency being more agile and product-focussed.
The post holders will be in a highly visible customer-facing role liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including Service Owners in the business and senior stakeholders.
Who are we looking for
The successful candidates will be experienced Product Managers familiar with working in agile environments. You will know how to coach and lead teams of varying levels of maturity in agile practices and be able to determine the right approach.
You will have a track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and be able to orchestrate multiple stakeholders including vendors to come together to deliver the right services based on user needs.
You will be able to bring a product focus whilst contributing to a high performing customer-focused team and quickly build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation and will have a track record delivering value to customers in a fast-paced and demanding environment managing competing priorities and aligned to strategic priorities.
