Job Description

THE POSITION
- Support the implementation and monitoring of health safety and wellbeing programs across the hospital.
- Collaborate with department leads to ensure safety procedures are embedded into daily operations.
- Conduct regular audits inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations ensuring timely reporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics trends and improvement initiatives.
THE PERSON
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within a complex or high-risk environment (healthcare construction facilities etc.).
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation compliance requirements and risk management frameworks.
- Experience conducting audits site inspections and hazard identification processes.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and reporting tools (e.g. RiskMan Vault or similar).
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety (e.g. Cert IV or Diploma WHS or equivalent).
