ENGINEER-2025512POT140-NNL-WEST MIFFLIN PA

JOB SUMMARY:
The engineer will coordinate with the SCERT and stakeholders to develop plans procedures and training to prepare for the NNL response to a potential accident event involving a radiological material shipping container. The engineer will not respond in person to the site of any accidents or emergencies.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include developing/leading functional exercises and tabletop scenarios preparing operating procedures and preparing/delivering trainings. The engineer will also need to be familiar with the design analysis and safety reports of NNL radiological shipping containers including an understanding of the regulatory requirements. Additionally the engineer will support other engineering and business activities of the Reactor Servicing organization as needed. This position will require minimal travel to summits and exercises.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION:

Minimum four year BS degree in engineering or other similar science/technology field Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills

EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with radiological material shipping containers and/or transportation safety analyses
Familiarity with 10CFR71 Experience in emergency response planning training and coordination
Experience developing/delivering technical training or exercises

Security Clearance: L
