Position Summary
As a Field Services Engineer you will work in a cross-functional repair depot plant environment with Operations Design/Quality/Test Engineering Program Management and New Product Introduction to enable high-quality cost-efficient repair and refurbishment of depot serviced equipment. You will work primarily on continuous improvement process development & implementation failure analysis and project management. You will gain a solid understanding of planning implementing and sustaining both small and large initiatives across a service organization.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Develop & implement new processes designed to improve operational efficiency
- Champion continuous improvement & lean initiatives
- Participate in the design and improvement of facility layout
- Perform failure analysis on returned equipment and drive quality improvements
- Provide a services perspective during new product design & introduction
- Manage projects to enable achievement of key business metrics
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Engineering (ME EE CE IE)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt Certification a plus)
- Experience in project management (PMP/CAPM Certification a plus)
- Experience as a group team or project leader
- Experience with SQL business reporting
- Experience with corporate IT systems
- Experience with hand assembly of PCs and similar electronic equipment
