Resident Service Coordinator

Position Summary: CHN Housing Partners is looking for an experienced Resident Service Coordinator to provide information advice and support to CHNs residents. Additionally you will assess the needs of the residents and connect them with specific programs to assist with their needs.
The rate of pay for this position is $21.00/hour FLSA Non-Exempt ($43680 per year)
Requirements:
The right candidate will coordinate and attend community engagement activities such as social functions programs (related to housing stability health education employment financial stability after school and summer programs for youth) and resident meeting to foster community and empower residents. In addition you will conduct resident surveys assist senior residents with aging in place while they remain living independently in their homes. You will also need to be computer literate as you will need these skills to create monthly newsletters for multi-family sites.
You will be required to travel between multi-family locations to ensure that all residents are able to be assisted and linked to additional services.
You will also be responsible for supporting the Resident Service Coordinator Manager by evaluating outcomes of regularly scheduled on-site programs and services for quality improvement monitoring the operations of the computer lab as well as developing and maintaining a resource directory with local social service agencies and providers as well as inputting resident data and information into the resident service online data base.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required Education:
  • Associate degree some college or 1-3 years of equivalent work experience
Experience:
  • At least 3 years of Customer Service
  • 1 year of Community Outreach.
  • 1 year of Social Service.
Skills:
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of community services in the area with particular knowledge of services that are provided for the population living within the community.
  • Must possess the ability to engage with families children and senior citizens. Has a positive open caring and non-judgmental demeanor. Behaves ethically and set appropriate boundaries
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population
  • Experience working with supportive housing populations is a plus
  • Must possess working knowledge and experience with the Federal Fair Housing Act and other relevant housing compliance laws.
  • Integrity commitment to hard work and honesty are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent organization skills required
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision

  • Yardi experience
  • Resident service reporting systems
Other:
  • Valid Drivers License reliable personal vehicle and current automobile insurance
Preferred:
  • Bachelors Degree in social work sociology psychology gerontology or related field
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Resident Service Certification
