Job Description
Seeking a process engineering technician with strong robotics experience to work closely with process project and tooling engineering along with production to coordinate activities connected with technical developments scheduling and resolving design and test problems or to implement new product launches on the production floor.
Ideal person will have a strong robotics background skilled at problem-solving this person will also investigate and develop countermeasures to ongoing issues of existing processes. Sound like you Apply today!
What Youll Be Doing:
Work closely with Process/Project Engineering Tool Engineering and Production to launch & maintain new projects into production. Investigate and develop technical countermeasures related to any related ongoing product or process issues. Processes to include roll forming induction heat treat robotics plasma cutting jigs fixtures gas metal weldingCNC punching off set bending powder coating automated storage retrieval system & packaging
Engage in hands-on process technical support on the production floor. Assists with new tool & process tryouts analyzes tool design and specifications. Support operators with technical problem solving and recommending creative technical solutions. Perform a variety of duties such as conducting tests reporting data adjusting equipment troubleshooting equipment diagnosing and recommending actions from findings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Others may be assigned.
- Provide process operations support with hands on troubleshooting and development.
- Assist in process optimization.
- Analyze data to improve process tool and process quality.
- Verify manufacturing standards actual versus estimates.
- Performs process capability and uptime study to meet pre-determined goals prior to formal handoff of project to manufacturing.
- Assists Maintenance Team on repeat machine problems
- Implements CI/Cost reduction and safety projects
- Researches and performs trials on supplies and consumables that will improve cost & quality.
- Investigates and coordinates tooling improvements repairs and replacements.
- Monitors Standard Tooling Inventories to ensure appropriate quantities are on hand.
- Facilitates initial manufacturing review of set-up books coordinates ongoing updates
- Provides technical support problem solving expertise to manufacturing as appropriate.
Schedule:This position will primarily workeight or more hours per day five days per week based on business needs and will primarily be day-time hours but may occasionally work nights or weekends.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years experience in roll forming or metal forming
- 3 years experience in related technical engineering or support role
- Experience in robotics programming plasma cutting jigs fixtures and gas metal welding.
- Experience in computer software products such as Microsoft Office & CAD software.
- US Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
Preferred:
- Two-year technical degree
- Two years experience tryout or R&D
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Manual Mill & Lathe Tube Bending Inventor PLC Electrical Controls Programming PFMEA SPC GD&T Quality Certification Systems.
