You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSeaLandAire Technologies in Jackson Michigan is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as our Facility Security Officer (FSO) and IT Manager. In this role you will manage our National Industrial Security Program (NISP) compliance activities while also overseeing the companys basic cybersecurity compliance and IT efforts. This role ensures both physical and information security requirements are met across all operations.

Essential Functions*
Act as the companys primary Facility Security Officer (FSO) under the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117).
Develop and maintain facility security programs including personnel security visitor control classified material management and physical security.
Serve as primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other government security representatives. This includes assessing the NBIS and NISS websites to initiate employee background investigations visits to cleared facilities changes in employee security clearance status submit reports update company information and communicate with DCSA.
Act as the companys primary Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) to oversee the insider threat program.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls aligned to NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 1/2 standards.
Coordinate and submit cybersecurity compliance documentation (e.g. SPRS score reporting basic self-assessments etc.).
Conduct regular internal security audits and self-inspections for both physical and cybersecurity domains.
Train and brief employees on security policies insider threat awareness and basic cybersecurity hygiene.
Manage incident response reporting for security and cybersecurity-related events.
Support continuous improvement efforts in both facility and cybersecurity posture.
Serve as the primary contact for the companys internal IT team and external IT service provider.

Ideally this position will serve in a dual role overseeing both security and IT operations at SLA. The ideal candidate will be the primary contact for our third-party alarm service manage our multiple security teams/committees and act as the FSO for SLA. Additionally this role will oversee the internal IT team and serve as the liaison for our external IT service provider.
Active U.S. Secret security clearance
Minimum of 3 years experience as an FSO or security professional in a defense environment
Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM)
Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance requirements including NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 1/2
Excellent communication reporting and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion
CDSE Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certificate
Experience with DISS NISS and eMASS portals
Previous involvement with insider threat or cybersecurity incident response programs
Experience in Information Technology (IT)
This fully onsite role offers flexibility and can be structured as either part-time or full-time depending on the candidates experience and desired level of responsibility.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 3 years experience as an FSO or security professional in a defense environment.
Since a majority of SeaLandAires business is funded by the US Department of Defense applicants must be a US Person (US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident).
A background check will be conducted for employment purposes.
A US government security clearance is required for this position but SeaLandAire will sponsor the process if you do not have an active clearance.
