JOB SUMMARY:
Provides advanced administrative and computer support to Director and/or Assistant Director and their departments.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initiate and follow-up on action items for new and/or routine projects processes and/or policies. Coordinates with other departments and/or external sources.
- Generates department correspondence and/or reports. Uses appropriate computer programs to analyze compile update and maintain department correspondence and/or reports. Disseminates data/information to the appropriate parties. Prepares expense reports. May create presentations and/or corresponding materials.
- Screens/prioritizes/directs incoming calls and mail/correspondence taking appropriate actions as necessary.
- May maintain executive(s) and corresponding departments calendars coordinate meetings and/or set appointments. Makes travel and/or training arrangements when necessary.
- Provides administrative support direction guidance and/or training to department. Serves as a liaison with other departments in acquiring and maintaining technology supplies onboarding work space coordination sourcing and other logistical needs through standard UO/UPR procedures.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Bachelors degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 to 5 years of administrative assistant experience preferred;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
- Familiarity with UO systems is a plus
