What youll be doing

• Responsible for providing effective maintenance to the building and support equipment used in the Manufacturing areas through the supervision and coordination of subordinate and own activities to ensure high efficiency operation as well as scheduling and coordinating inspections necessary maintenance and repairs to ensure the continued operation of the plant through the design and maintenance of systems and building. Responsible to ensure new equipment and process systems along with installation and facilities procedures and practices stay in sync with the corporate and site standards specification Federal Puerto Rican and local laws.

• Responsible for meeting building maintenance goals and support equipment.

• Responsible for the safety of his subordinates and himself. Supervise and coordinate the activities of subordinates in the maintenance activities of the areas under their charge.

• Provides leadership and direction to the work team involved in the design of facilities and evaluates their performance.

• Aligns with the risk management process when applicable.

• Evaluate the performance of subordinate personnel to align with the expected level of service and quality and propose corrective/preventive measures through the analysis of recurring failures and root causes.

• Conducts preliminary evaluations and prepares preliminary schematics and drawings for the construction and maintenance of new facilities or renovations to the facility in general including clean rooms.

• Takes an active part in the evaluation and recommendation process of contractors and vendors as well as in the negotiations to obtain competitive contracts. Participates in the final design decision of facilities or systems.

• Leads the budget schedule and scope of projects related to Facilities (building systems) including renovations installation of new equipment and new construction.
• Monitors the construction process to ensure contractors stay in sync with local state and federal building and safety codes as well as internal cleanliness control procedures and good manufacturing practices. (GMPs)
• Inspects existing systems and buildings to determine and prepare reports of their conditions observed deficiencies analysis and proposals for solutions necessary to restore and estimate the cost of recommended solutions.
• Keeps documentation plans and records updated and prepares reports related to its field of action.
• Supervise and ensure compliance with the preventive maintenance program the timely generation and delivery of documentation and compliance with established procedures applicable to your organization.
• Supervise and maintain the organization of the work area office and worktables tools etc. and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Provide attention to compliance with the maintenance of machines and equipment through cleaning and maintenance routines to maintain a high level of utilization of the equipment.
• Lead the purchase storage and proper use of spare parts by supervising compliance with the internal system and/or routines to generate requisitions in a timely manner.
• Identify together with your subordinates the necessary improvements for each machine or equipment and generate service requests in a timely manner.
• Stay in sync with procedures for requesting/receiving spare parts machines equipment or services provided by external suppliers to ensure receipt of spare parts that meet the required specifications.
• Evaluate and propose to the supervisor training programs for all maintenance personnel to increase service capacity.
• Propose changes in systems and/or procedures to improve the machine equipment or building maintenance program.

What youll bring

• Bachelors Degree in engineering or related technical field. Experience in maintenance design and project engineering in medical devices or pharmaceutical industries. Knowledge of AutoCAD FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) Six Sigma personal and industrial computers electromechanical machinery analog and digital machine control systems.

• Five (5) years minimum experience in an industrial environment preferably cGMP.
• Three (3) years minimum experience supervising facilities maintenance.
