Autism Support Worker Wandsworth September 2025 Start

Location: Wandsworth South West London
Contract: September 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: 444.00 per week (PAYE)
Interviews: June/July 2025

Are you passionate about supporting pupils with autism and eager to build your experience in a specialist setting

A specialist SEND school in Wandsworth is looking for an Autism Support Worker to work 1:1 with pupils diagnosed with ASC. This Autism Support Worker role is perfect for graduates with an interest in psychology speech and language or SEND education.

As an Autism Support Worker youll support children across primary and secondary phases using visual aids PECS and sensory regulation tools. Youll play a vital role in helping students feel safe supported and engaged in their learning.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism
  • Adapting learning materials to suit sensory and communication needs
  • Using strategies like PECS and visual timetables
  • Supporting childrens social and emotional development

Were looking for:

  • A 2:1 or above in Psychology Education or a related subject
  • Some experience with SEND autism or youth work
  • A compassionate and patient nature
  • A genuine desire to work in specialist education

This Autism Support Worker role in Wandsworth is ideal for graduates looking to pursue careers in speech therapy educational psychology or SEND teaching.

Please note: This role is only open to applicants with a UK undergraduate degree. We cannot consider overseas degrees even with a UK Masters. Sponsorship is not available so applicants must have UK citizenship or the right to work via settled status.
