About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager to oversee complex technical projects valued up to $1MM focusing on the enhancement and integration of Enbridges control and SCADA systems. This role involves facilitating the development of technical solutions with key stakeholders and ensuring adherence to best practice change management procedures when new systems are modified or deployed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects ranging in scope and cost up to $1MM proactively handling scope cost schedule and risk to deliver maximum value to stakeholders.
- Support liquid pipelines project teams working directly with SCADA integrators and designers to complete SCADA design and commissioning activities.
- Execute projects according to established PCSLD PMO standards utilizing both PMBOK Waterfall and Agile methods where appropriate.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SCADA processes best practices standards and control and operating procedures.
- Balance priorities constraints and objectives of multiple simultaneous projects.
- Provide well-defined project mandates supplemented with documentation scheduling budgeting and ongoing project analysis.
- Develop and implement change management processes procedures and tools to ensure seamless deployment and minimal disruption to critical systems.
- Develop business cases for new projects and operational initiatives.
- Apply senior-level project and organizational knowledge leadership and active facilitation to enable effective execution of project activities.
- Continuously evaluate internal processes to ensure efficient and priority-based execution of related projects; propose process improvements as needed.
- Prepare status reports and deliver presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate successful resolution of outstanding concerns or issues within projects escalating as appropriate.
- Review and approve project deliverables.
- Initiate support and develop strategies for continuing process improvement initiatives within the PCSLD department.
- Provide governance and enforcement of project processes and standards including schedules reporting project financials QC QA and compliance norms.
Scope/Dimensions:
- Accountability for multiple projects up to $1 million dollars.
- Ensure project delivery efficiency by collaborating with supervisors managers and other project managers.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on projects and project issues.
- Analyze statistical information to identify gaps/deficiencies and find opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Provide timely and accurate status reports throughout the project duration.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience such as with a Registered Engineering Technologist or similar accreditation may be accepted.
- Eligibility to register as a P. Eng. in the Province of Alberta is an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- Experience in managing OASyS projects is an asset.
- 5 - 10 years of progressive project management experience with demonstrated technical competence in at least one engineering discipline.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed problem-solving decision-making organization planning and leadership skills.
- A collaborative team and service-oriented work style.

- External:Third-party vendors and consultants.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with rare travel requirements.
- Fast-paced work environment requiring balancing the constraints of multiple simultaneous projects with hard deadlines and the needs of numerous stakeholders.
- Availability for off-hours contact to provide support for critical issues.
