Houseperson
At Fairmont Chateau Whistler an exceptional guest experience begins before check-in and extends throughout every stay. As a Houseperson the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming.
This is a full-time permanent role starting July 23 2025.
Starting Rate of Pay: $20.80 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.30.
Job Duties Include:
- Attend to guests requests for extra supplies
- Stock linen closet and supplies area
- Clean and disinfect public areas such as hallways washrooms changing rooms showers and elevators
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Report and store lost and found items
- To respond to all Housekeeping and Royal Service calls which includes guest deliveries and requests.
- To assist the Room Attendants in bringing them required supplies.
Qualifications :
- Previous Housekeeping experience
- Must be physically fit and able to carry/move heavy loads up to 50 pounds.
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
