The Department
Located at Sandringham Hospital Ward F2 is a dynamic and challenging acute care ward. F2 provides care for the bayside community for a wide variety of medical/surgical diagnoses of both acute and chronic disease allowing patients timely quality care near to their home or care facility. Patients are received from the Sandringham Emergency department or direct admission from The Alfred. The interdisciplinary team is highly motived and skilled to deliver high quality patient care. This is an opportunity to lead among a highly engaged interdisciplinary team who work collaboratively supported by senior program leadership to innovate and achieve excellence in person centred care.
The Role
The Nurse Manager is a professional and clinical leader in Nursing Services and plays a pivotal role in meeting broader organisational imperatives. The Nurse Manager operationalises the core values of Nursing at Alfred Health by ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff. The role is accountable for developing staff to deliver excellence in clinical practice and is responsible for managing clinical risk and implementing systems and processes to improve patient outcomes.
