Position Title:Human Resources Generalist & Recruiter

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Human Resources Generalist & Recruiter supports the overall goals initiatives and standards of the Human Resources Department. Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer the Human Resources Generalist & Recruiter is the driver for the recruitment and talent management needs of the organization including the roles of licensed healthcare professionals (physicians dentists nurse practitioners nurse midwives etc.).
The Human Resources Generalist & Recruiter is also accountable for the assigning tracking and reporting of organizational training activities. As a midlevel Human Resources professional this person is also expected to perform basic to advanced Human Resources functions and tasks and represent LCH&D and the Human Resources department as necessary.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Daily responsibilities include:
- Assist employees with Human Resources questions issues and ensure that the appropriate follow-up is made either though final resolution or delegation of issue to other HR team member.
- Support department and organization by assisting in training development and talent management.
- Generate leads and develop candidate talent pipelines through sourcing channels such as recruitment campaigns cold calls mailings internet searches networking groups social media database searches referrals and other advertising efforts.
- Collaborate with Chief Human Resources Officer and hiring managers to identify position needs develop accurate job descriptions and details and effective job requisition posting.
- Administer the full recruitment lifecycle under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer for all levels of staffing. Full lifecycle recruitment efforts including but not limited to:
- identify talent
- coordinate the application process
- plan and conduct interviews
- ensure all staff who participate in interviews are appropriately prepared
- conduct reference verifications
- extend offers of employment for all non-contracted positions
- As instructed by the Chief Human Resources Director dashboard updates on recruitment activities candidate leads vacancy rate time-to-fill etc.
- As needed assist in planning & coordinating new hire and onboarding processes.
- Support department leaders in assisting in the coordination of externship and student learning experiences as necessary.
- Responsible for organizing and conducting stay interviews.
- Responsible for organizing and conducting exit interviews.
- Participate in employee retention efforts by generating content representing the LCH&D workforce on social media platforms and LCH&D website.
- Assist in processing required documents through payroll to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions.
- Update Annual Safety & Risk Management Training Calendar and Plan and maintain binder to include tracking of supporting documents for training sessions following up for document completion as necessary.
- Assign online training to staff as indicated on the Annual Safety & Risk Management Training Calendar and Plan. Creating courses in Relias on behalf of LCH&D. Tracking course completion and following up with staff and appropriate team members.
- Assist in meetings and special projects related to the Annual Safety & Risk Management Training Calendar & Plan.
- Assist in running HRIS reports as requested by the Chief Human Resources Officer and other team members as necessary.
- Assist in planning company functions.
- Assist with annual compliance activities as directed.
- Prepare formal correspondence externally and to employees.
PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
- Local travel to attend events and meet candidates as required.
- Travel between sites as required.
- Attend relevant professional activities such as company sponsored events as needed.
- Attend trainings and seminars as directed.
- Attend meetings as directed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Extensive use of computer and telephone.
- Some lifting of supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- 20% walking or standing 80% sitting at a desk.
- Category III re: exposure to blood bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources business or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in Human Resources Recruitment and Talent Management.
- Minimum of two years of healthcare recruiting experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to represent the organization professionally at all times at job fairs and other external organizational events.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relative to Human Resources is required.
- Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Office ADP Workforce Now and the utilization of online job boards and social media as it relates to recruiting.
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to be responsive in working with a culturally-diverse patient population.
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information and materials.
- Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Must have valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
