Job Description
RVCC Adjunct Faculty - Radiologic Technology Fall 2025
River Valley Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach courses in Radiologic Technology in our Allied Health Department. Please note at the time of hire we require that all applicants provide official college transcripts.
CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine New Hampshire Vermont Massachusetts Connecticut and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
This course introduces the Radiologic Technology student to their responsibilities when working with patients. This course will discuss patient education safety and comfort. An emphasis will be made on how to react to medical emergencies within the department and the legal responsibilities of the radiologic professional. The course will address infection control handling of hazardous materials isolation precautions and patient monitoring. The student will learn about human diversity ethnic and cultural values and how to integrate these concepts into professional practice. Medical terminology related to imaging sciences will be discussed developing a basic understanding of the medical language employed in the health care professions and Imaging department.
Radiologic Technology - Patient Care and Medical Terminology for our Fall 2025
Lecture: asynchronous online
Lab days/time: Fridays 1-2:50pm and 3-4:50pm at our Claremont NH campus.
Minimum qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university with major study in radiologic technology physics or a related field.
Experience: Two years of industry experience as a radiologic technologist or medical physicist; or related teaching experience in the field.
OR
Education: Masters degree from a recognized college or university with major study in radiologic technology physics or a related field.
Experience: Two years of industry experience as a radiologic technologist or medical physicist; or related teaching experience in the field.
Required License/Registration: Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Adjunct Compensation: Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
