The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for both recruiting and employee retention. This position will recruit interview and refer applicants for a variety of positions throughout the company. The objective is to replace lost employees as quickly and economically as possible with sustainable candidates.
The Recruiting Specialist will develop deliver and maintain the companys onboarding program for various positions. This will include orientation training and ongoing communication.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves the incumbent must be sensitive to company needs employee goodwill and the public image.
Work with management team to assist in recruitment efforts screening interviewing and qualifying candidates. A high sense of urgency is required to meet business and customer needs.
Analyze the information provided on a prospective employees application and conduct an one on one interviews. Determine the suitability of applicants for specific positions.
In cases where an applicant is judged unqualified tactfully turn the applicant away.
When the information provided indicates a good potential employee the candidate will be further qualified by conducting a screening background reference investigation (contacting prior employment references compensation requirements transcripts etc.) to gain adequate information on which to base a selection decision.
Determine skills and characteristics of successful employees in key positions.
Develop interview guides to be used in the field for key positions.
Develop and implement onboarding process to include orientation training plans and follow up communications.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and maintain a positive attitude.
Regular consistent and predictable attendance
Ability to work well under stressful conditions
At least (1) years related experience.
Bilingual (English / Spanish)
Self-motivated with demonstrated ability in decision-making problem-solving and process improvement.
Highest level of integrity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
General computer knowledge including Microsoft Operating System MS Word Excel E-mail Internet HRIS database software and typing skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Recruiting (Service Industry Experience Preferred)
Interviewing (both in person and remotely)
Able to read and communicate in English / Spanish
Requires physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds
Must be able to remain in a sitting (or stationary) position 80% of the time
Can work independently and in stressful environments
Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time using public air or rail at the discretion of the company particularly to meet with customers and colleagues.
