St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical surgical maternity paediatric emergency cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology radiology and pharmacy are also available on site and our emergency department is open 24 hours seven days a week.
We are inviting applications for an experienced Chef to work on a permanent part time basis at St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba.
Duties include:
Preparation and cooking of food according to menu guidelines standard recipes and food safety requirements
Participate in correct personal hygiene and food handling practices comply with the hospitals HACCP based food safety program
Participate in food process including safe handling and storage stock rotation temperature time and hygiene requirements
Ability to be flexible with rostering
Be available for morning and afternoon shifts ranging from 5.30am 7.30pm

Things that work for us:
Formal Chef qualifications
Demonstrated experience in food handling for at least 2 years
Ability to make decisions and follow instructions
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to cater to a wide range variety of sensitive dietary requirements
Must understand allergy management practices
Excellent communication with a positive friendly manger
Ability to work in a diverse workplace
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with docket system within room service model
