Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Manual Tester with strong expertise in manual testing database testing and some leadership capabilities to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role you will be responsible for conducting manual testing on web and mobile applications performing database testing using SQL queries and leading a small team when necessary. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality of products before release. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tester with leadership potential looking to grow their career.
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual testing on web applications mobile apps and API testing.
Conduct various types of testing such as sanity smoke regression and UI/UX testing.
Execute database testing using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Lead the testing team in the absence of the Team Lead including assigning tasks to junior members and ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
Provide regular updates on team progress and conduct test case reviews.
Collaborate with developers product managers and other stakeholders to ensure test coverage and product quality.
Assist in the preparation and of test plans scenarios and scripts.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
Hands-on experience with API testing.
Strong knowledge of database testing using SQL queries.
Experience in leading small teams or providing guidance to junior testers.
Solid understanding of testing types such as sanity smoke regression and UI/UX testing.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automated testing tools (a plus but not required).
Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies.
Prior experience in handling test case reviews and team task assignments.
Key Competencies
Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage a team of 4-5 people.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present technical information clearly.
