DescriptionPosition Summary:
The Offsite Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for ensuring the reliability safety and efficiency of all operational support equipment and infrastructure at offsite facilities. This hands-on leadership role involves advanced troubleshooting executing and overseeing preventive maintenance mentoring technicians and coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize equipment downtime and maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training & Development:
Lead technical training for maintenance staff focusing on equipment-specific skills safety practices and best-in-class maintenance techniques. - Advanced Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair complex issues involving mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure minimal downtime. - Preventive Maintenance:
Design and implement preventive maintenance schedules to proactively address wear and tear extending equipment lifespan and avoiding costly repairs. - Technical Support:
Serve as the go-to expert during equipment breakdowns; provide immediate guidance and hands-on support to maintenance teams. - Safety Compliance:
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct regular audits and reinforce a strong safety-first culture. - Process Improvement:
Identify and lead initiatives to improve maintenance processes reduce waste and increase overall equipment reliability. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with Production Engineering and Plant Leadership to align maintenance priorities with operational goals. - Industry Awareness:
Stay updated on maintenance innovations and technologies recommending tools or methods to improve uptime and efficiency. - Mentorship:
Coach and develop junior technicians to build a high-performing self-sufficient maintenance team. - Emergency Response:
Lead rapid-response efforts during critical failures ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- 57 years of hands-on maintenance experience ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong skills in mechanical electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial automation equipment is a plus.
- Proven leadership or team lead experience in a technical role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Must be able to lift over 45 lbs.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
- May require kneeling crawling or climbing depending on the task.
- Occasional travel (10%) to offsite locations as needed.
