Our Mission
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join the team for the Stimulation Therapy to Induce Mothers (STIM) Study which is an ongoing randomized clinical trial of pregnant patients. We are trying to see if patients who perform nipple stimulation therapy with an electric breast pump during labor will have better labor and lactation outcomes compared to those receiving usual care. Under the guidance of the investigators Dr. Yarden Golan and Dr. Moeun Son and the Research Nurse Coordinator the Clinical Research Coordinator will lead recruitment and study randomization efforts during daytime hours. The successful candidate will serve as an integral part of this research team.

Key Responsibilities include:
Participant Recruitment and Enrollment
Coordinates the recruitment and enrollment of research participants.
Assesses patient eligibility for inclusion in trials. Ensures proper consent protocols have been followed for study participation.
Participant Scheduling and Frontline Communication
Schedule participant appointments.
Greet research participants. Answers and screens telephone calls. Assesses nature of business. Responds to requests for information and provides assistance. Screen and respond to emails.
Biospecimen Collection and Management
Collects biospecimens from participants (breastmilk) to bring to the laboratory for processing.
Managing biospecimen repository storage and tracking of samples.
Prepare samples for shipping and tracking shipping process.
Data Entry and Research Support
Manage and enter collected data into study database.
Ensure that all data that is entered into the study database is complete and clean.
Assist in the preparation and review of research materials.
Success in the Clinical Research Coordinator role requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a clinical research setting. Effective communication empathy and professionalism are essential for engaging with participants and collaborating with the research team. The ideal candidate will be dependable proactive and committed to ethical research practices and fostering an inclusive respectful environment. A genuine interest in maternal and child health along with a proactive problem-solving mindset will further support success in this position.
This is a full-time benefits eligible 1 year term appointment with the possibility of renewal.
This is a fully onsite position located at 1283 York Avenue New York New York 10065. Regular business hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am 5:00pm.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience in managing databases including data entry organization and maintenance.
Experience in conducting clinical research and supporting related activities.
Experience in applying medical terminology in clinical and research contexts.
Ability to maintain a team-oriented approach and cultivate positive and collegial workplace relationships.
Demonstrated consistent integrity and ethical behavior in professional settings.
Able to take responsibility for personal outcomes and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
Strong written and oral communication skills demonstrated through clear documentation and effective interactions.
Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities.
Occasional weekend shifts may be required based on program needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree and/or science background.
