Are you passionate about helping students succeed both emotionally and behaviorally Do you have experience supporting students with behavioral needs and a desire to make a meaningful impact in a school setting Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District (MMUUSD) is seeking a compassionate energetic and skilled Behavior Interventionist to join our team!
About the Role
This position provides individual and group support to students using programming rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This role is instrumental in helping students develop essential skills and access their learning environments safely and successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Implement behavior support plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
Build strong therapeutic relationships with students.
Support students through play academics and social interactions.
Provide crisis prevention de-escalation and post-incident support using CPI techniques.
Collect and maintain behavioral data.
Model behavior strategies and programming for school teams.
Support short-term student stabilization or long-term intensive needs.
Collaborate closely with school staff and administration.
What Were Looking For
High School diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
35 years experience working with students.
Familiarity with ABA principles and social/emotional learning.
RBT certification or willingness to obtain (district-paid training and certification).
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
Comfort engaging in physically active play-based support with students.
