Job Description
Vulnerability Management Security Analyst Senior
Premier Enterprise Solutions is looking for an Information Assurance Support Analyst with 7 years experience. The scope of the Information Assurance work shall include all documentation related to Security Assessment & Accreditation activities including identifying security risks and recommending risk mitigation strategies but is not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of security incidents to determine the nature and extent of the threat.
- Investigate and respond to security events including malware infections network intrusions and unauthorized access attempts.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses and recommend remediation measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective incident response and resolution.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats vulnerabilities and industry best practices.
- Document security incidents including their impact root cause analysis and remediation steps.
Required Qualification:
- Seven (7) years of experience in a security operations center (SOC) or related security role
- Knowledge of information security principles to carry out activities relating to security certification and accreditation.
- Knowledge and skill in implementing FISMA NIST OMB guidelines and other Federal regulations and guidance.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring systems.
- Experience with incident response methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of networking protocols and security infrastructure components.
- Must have experience in incident management.
- Skill in making recommendations that significantly influence OIGs information security policies or programs.
- Skill and ability to assess risk factors and advise on vulnerability to attack from a variety of sources and procedures for protection of systems and applications.
- Knowledge of security requirements for cloud-hosted environments and services and mobile application development and deployment
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a SOC Analyst or in a similar role
- Degree in Information Assurance Information Systems Computer Science or related field is preferred.
Required Certification:
One of the following certifications - CISSP CISM CISA Cisco or Microsoft certifications such as Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Work Location:
