Description
Centurion Health is the proud provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Physician for Western Reception & Diagnostic Correctional Center located in St. Joseph MO.
The Staff Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations provides treatment for emergent urgent and routine medical issues provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- Active unrestricted MO license
- MO BNDD
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check
Available Shift
- Monday - Friday
- Day Shift
- No nights holidays or weekends
- Call is OPTIONAL and PAID
