What youll be doing
We are seeking a Senior Manager Talent Acquisition Operations to lead the development and implementation of the US Talent Acquisition operations strategy. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition this role will operationalize the recruiting framework oversee program management and ensure the delivery of best-in-class recruitment practices. The Senior Manager will lead a team responsible for operational excellence program design and end-to-end implementation of tools and processes. This role will also focus on continuous improvement aligning solutions with CIBCs policies business strategies and organizational objectives. This role involves a combination of strategic planning process improvement system administration and data analysis.
You will have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 2-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote.
How youll succeed
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and management to a team responsible for Talent Acquisition operations program management business and change management and operational reporting. Foster a positive work environment by championing CIBCs mission vision and values. Build team capabilities through development opportunities performance management and effective coaching.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and monitor the operations and governance framework for Talent Acquisition processes including hiring-related policies. Interpret new regulations and assess their impact on governance frameworks ensuring compliance with all hiring-related risks.
Operational Excellence: Optimizing TA workflows identifying gaps and implementing scalable solutions to improve efficiencies. Implement KPIs and metrics to measure recruitment strategy success and operational efficiency. Leverage workforce analytics to inform and refine talent strategies and recruitment practices. Utilizing data and analytics to monitor performance provide insights to leadership and develop reporting packages is also crucial.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with inclusion learning & development talent management HR and employer branding teams to align recruitment strategies with broader organizational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry best practices and recommend enhancements to recruiter efficiency and operational measurement. Lead the design and implementation of solutions that align with CIBCs strategic priorities and risk management requirements. Ensuring TA practices align with regulations and maintaining knowledge of relevant laws in the US.
Who you are
You have 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition operations and leadership with a focus on operational excellence and a proven ability to coach develop and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
You have advanced leadership and relationship management skills with experience managing teams in complex matrixed organizations.
You are a strong communicator. You have expert interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills including effective engagement with all levels of the organization including senior management and executive committee level stakeholders. You have the ability to translate analysis into actionable strategies.
You are a caring and accountable leader. You have experience developing and implementing strategic team goals. You have experience coaching employees and inspiring successful team performance.
You know that details matter. You notice things that others dont. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision-making.
You are a strategic thinker with advanced knowledge of strategic planning processes and workforce management.
You can demonstrate your technical skills with proficiency in workforce analytics operational reporting and recruitment tools (Workday is preferred).
You have a degree/diploma in Human Resources or a related field.

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $130000.00 - $145000.00 USD for the market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
