DURATION: 12 month contract or Contract to Hire

SUMMARY
Would you like to work with a company that provides end-to-end space solutions - from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors - to keep customers informed and ahead of the threat Each day ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows ground stations need to evolve and adapt.
In this role you will work as a Database engineer onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform software development of large-scale database solutions.
Troubleshoot and fix complex software problems.
Performance tuning of database objects and queries.
Installation patching and upgrades of Oracle Database Software.
REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires a bachelors degree and minimum 2 years relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Oracle 19c RAC Database Administration experience.
Experience with BASH or other similar scripting language.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Oracle DataGuard
Experience with Oracle Multitenant Architecture
Experience with Chef or Ansible automation
Experience with some area of satellite ground system software
Experience with Atlassian Tools
Experience with Agile Development Start Time: 12:00 AM
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor Degree Required Preferred
