About Us

Gidgee Healing is a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering culturally appropriate primary health care and aged care services across Northwest and Lower Gulf Queensland. We are committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through holistic health solutions community participation and care coordination.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Procurement and Contracts Coordinator to coordinate funding relationships contracts and procurement processes across the organisation. This role is vital to ensuring compliance securing new funding opportunities and driving operational efficiency.

This position is offered as a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely and an expectation of regular travel to Mount Isa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison with funding bodies and coordinate all contractual obligations
  • Oversee procurement activities including tenders and vendor coordination
  • Maintain accurate records in the Contracts Register and procurement systems
  • Identify and pursue new funding and grant opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align contracts with service delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement and contract management processes

What Youll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Law or Business
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
  • Experience in contract administration grant writing and procurement
  • Excellent negotiation risk management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to travel and work flexibly including in remote areas

Desirable

  • Experience in primary health care or Indigenous services
  • Knowledge of funding frameworks in the health sector
  • Previous work in a not-for-profit or community organisation

Practical Requirements

  • Current QLD C Class Drivers Licence
  • Satisfactory Police Check
  • Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
