Job Description

Geelong Grammar School is one of the worlds leading co-educational boarding and day schools. Applications are invited for this senior leadership opportunity to commence in Term 1 2026. We seek a passionate and experienced teaching professional with a proven record in senior management sound knowledge of all aspects of student education and wellbeing who aspires to this challenging career opportunity.

Currently situated at the Bostock House Campus the Junior School has approximately 100 students enrolled from ELC Year 4. In 2026 the Junior School will be relocated to a Corio Campus with a new purpose-built Junior School. Uniquely situated among native grasslands trees and wetlands Junior School will provide primary-aged learners with opportunities for meaningful connection to each other to nature and to inquiry-based learning that sparks curiosity creativity and imagination.

This unique role seeks an experienced educator to lead and inspire the exceptional educational programme which will come to life in the thoughtfully designed nature-based spaces. Drawing on the Australian Curriculum and IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). This will fulfill the Schools vision to create a unique learning environment for young people that embodies the GGS educational pillars of Adventure Education Positive Education and Creative Education

Reporting to the Vice-Principal Learning Teaching and Academic Innovation (ELC 12) the successful candidate will possess exceptional skills and a passion for:

  • leading the continuous development of innovative and engaging curricular and co-curricular programmes pastoral support frameworks and outstanding teaching practices in a contemporary and nature-based learning environment
  • ensuring the specific needs of students with diverse backgrounds and abilities are supported
  • providing leadership that inspires and generates cooperation and commitment amongst all staff to achieve the objectives and strategic initiatives of the School
  • actively creating a sense of belonging amongst all students families and staff within our School community.

All teaching staff at Geelong Grammar School have a significant role in enhancing the resilience and well-being of students through the delivery of Positive Education based on the principles of Positive Psychology.
