Job Description
The Essential Services Advocate will assist unhoused families and individuals with low income in applying for essential and supportive services finding or maintaining suitable housing and advocating for clients with local social service agencies organizations landlords and funding sources. The Essential Services Advocate will help the household identify its strengths and opportunities as well as underlying issues which may have led to homelessness or could undermine success if not addressed. Travel as needed within CVOEOs service areas to meet with clients including home visits as needed.

Bachelors degree in a related discipline plus two years of community service experience or combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge are acquired. Case management or coaching experience desired. Knowledge of community resources and counseling/social work practices with high-risk populations. Effective verbal and written communication skills required; bilingual abilities are a plus!
