Job Description
Position Description
This position will be trained and perform Ballot by Mail (BBM) duties and responsibilities in one or more of these areas: Mail Room Scan Room Correspondence Ballot Now Data Entry or Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). Gaining knowledge of the Texas Election Code and relevant Texas Secretary of State advisories will also be a focus in this position as adherence to State election law while performing these duties is paramount. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Ballot by Mail.

Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Adherence to policies and laws are a must.
- Customer service experience.
- Must be able to carry up to 35 lbs. for short distances.
- Several mandatory days in each election will require working 10-12 hours.
- Must be able to work under stress and able to work without direct supervision.
- Knowledgeable of the general operations of an election and the Harris County website.
- Be professional and have good interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate proficient in Microsoft Office suite can type 30 words per minute and be willing to learn new computer programs and applications.
- Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and possess excellent communication skills.

General Information
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Regular Full-time
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Some weekends and overtime hours may be required.
Salary:
- $20.00 - $23.00Hourly
- Depends on Qualifications
- Based on 26 Pay Periods
- Plus benefits

Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen.
