The Alexa Customer Journeys team is looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive programs in the Alexa Personalization space. As a PTPM for Alexa Personalization you will partner with product managers software engineers scientists designers and quality assurance to ensure that Alexa learns from and personalizes every user interaction. You will work horizontally across Alexa AGI and Amazon Personalization and own mechanisms to prioritize and streamline communication and project delivery across a diverse and highly technical range of Amazon partners.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead multiple complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneously from initiation through delivery. Involves anticipating bottlenecks providing escalation management and communicating status broadly across all levels
* Make tradeoffs while balancing the business needs with technical constraints
* Work closely with product science and engineering teams to define near term and long term product roadmap
* Create mechanisms to drive timely accurate and comprehensive project execution. Create clarity eliminate obstacles and drive issue resolution to ensure deliverables & timelines are met. Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery mechanisms get better over time
* Serve as a trusted advisor to product science and engineering teams

This role requires someone that is excellent at stakeholder management and can present well in front of L10 forums
- 10 years of engineering experience
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 8 years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
