What We Offer:
Salary: $15000* annually

Your Role as Assistant Coach for Baseball:
Canisius University invites interested and qualified persons to apply for the position of part-time Assistant Coach for Baseball. Canisius is a member of the Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach. This is a part-time position.
Key Responsibilities as Assistant Coach for Baseball:
Instruct and evaluate well-prepared student-athletes.
Organize and execute individual skill instruction for players specific to Pitchers.
Assist with academic advisement monitoring and development of student-athletes.
Recruit qualified student athletes for Canisius University Baseball.
Assist with team travel and recruiting trip arrangements.
Assist with coordinating official and unofficial visits written correspondence and telephone communications.
Ensure the Baseball program is administered with constant commitment to compliance with all institutional conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelors Degree is required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of student-athletes parents coaches and administrators.
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with a positive driving record per the Universitys insurance provider (or upon moving to NYS obtain a NYS drivers license within NYS DMV residency guidelines after hire).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Experience
- Previous experience supervising communicating with and instructing student-athletes is preferred.
- Experience playing and/or coaching at the Collegiate level is preferred.
