Compensation: Up to $60000 starting salary DOE

We are seeking a Finance & Grants Coordinator to support the financial operations of our nonprofit organization. This position focuses on grant accounting third-party billing (including Medicaid and insurance) and revenue tracking. It is ideal for a detail-oriented self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative mission-driven environment.
Youll work closely with the VP of Finance and program staff to ensure accurate financial data entry grant documentation billing and payroll support. This is a key role in helping maintain the financial health and compliance of our organization.
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
Prepare and reconcile Medicaid insurance and private pay billing
Track and report on multiple grants ensuring financial and compliance accuracy
Collect and review documentation from staff for grants and billing
Prepare deposits and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
Provide backup support for payroll and time tracking system data entry
Assist in preparing monthly internal financial reports
Maintain well-organized digital and physical records for finance billing and grants
Support audit and grantor review preparation
Perform other finance-related administrative tasks as assigned
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with grant accounting and third-party billing (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and time management
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Basic understanding of nonprofit GAAP principles
Associates degree in Accounting Finance or related field; or
23 years of experience in bookkeeping grant administration or nonprofit revenue accounting
Nonprofit experience is strongly preferred
Valid Montana drivers license and insurable driving record
Compliance with I-9 eligibility requirements
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally and work in a typical office setting
