Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Connect with visitors from various backgrounds to ensure a positive high level of customer service throughout their visit.
  2. Address complaints and provide prompt service recovery in a calm and professional manner.
  3. Regularly rotate between each designated post throughout the River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings; maintain a working knowledge of each area to adequately assist and educate visitors and ensure efficient operations.
  4. Ensure the smooth flow of visitors throughout the Aquarium buildings by directing visitors alleviating crowds monitoring elevators and escalators etc.
  5. Monitor and ensure the safety of our animals and visitors at each touch tank by squeegeeing clearly communicating the rules and quickly responding to incidents
  6. Communicate professionally via a two-way radio.
  7. Address large groups of visitors of varying ages and backgrounds with confidence and professionalism while using a microphone.
  8. Uphold all safety protocols in a professional manner; provide assistance during emergency situations monitor both buildings and the plaza area and report any safety concerns to the appropriate individual(s) in a timely manner.

  • Ability to perform job duties under pressure
  • Positive attitude with visitors and co-workers at all times
  • Ability to address large groups of people at one time
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; frequent moving between and within the buildings and transporting various objects
  • Ability to alternate between cold hot and/or wet conditions
  • Ability to perform frequent and/or repetitive physical activities

Part-time hourly ($15/hour)
