Im hiring a Sales Operations Manager to grease the wheels of our growing commercial team.
Salespeople want to spend time with customers not fighting with spreadsheets or broken processes. I care a lot about making that possible. Why this matters
Zen is transforming education staffing. UK schools spend over 2bn a year on agency staff 600m of that goes straight to recruiters. We built a better way: a tech-driven platform that connects schools with teachers directly saving time money and stress.
Since launching in 2017 weve saved schools over 30 million and were just getting started. In 2024 we closed the largest EdTech round in Europe and are expanding fast in the UK and US.
Our commercial team is over 100 people strong. Youll be the operational backbone that helps them go further faster without the drag of bad data or clunky processes.
What youll actually do
Lets get specific. Heres the kind of work youll lead:
Build dashboards that show salespeople their potential earnings in real time so they stay motivated and focused.
Create concise actionable daily reporting tools for each commercial leader so they can course-correct fast.
Partner with Finance and streamline commission payouts so people get paid accurately and on time.
Build reporting to monitor supply vs demand balance across markets giving leadership insight on where to intervene.
And beyond that Spot inefficiencies. Fix them. Do it fast and without needing permission. Your work directly impacts how 100 people operate each day.

2. Technical task and review Ill share a task for you to complete at home (estimated time 45-60 mins) and send back. Youll then talk through what you did and explain your approach to me and another commercial manager.
3. Business understanding Youll speak to a senior commercial leader and dive deeper into your understanding of sales operations challenges and how they apply to a labour marketplace like ours.
