About the Role
We are seeking multipleSenior Software Developersto support maintain and enhance software capabilities that are vital to national security. You will play a key role in designing and integrating complex systems mentoring team members and ensuring the quality and security of software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance existing software systems to ensure availability and performance.
- Lead software development activities and ensure adherence to quality and security standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to refine user requirements using agile methodologies.
- Document technical processes and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Provide technical guidance and uplift the capability of junior team members.
- Participate in design reviews agile ceremonies and stakeholder meetings.
- Enhance automation capabilities and integrate COTS/GOTS software.
- Translate logical designs into physical implementations using Agile Software Development Methodology (ASDM).
Technical Environment Includes:
- Languages: Java Python .NET scripting languages
- Platforms: Linux/UNIX
- Tools: Automation and deployment tools (e.g. Ansible Puppet Docker)
- Domain: Cyber Security experience highly regarded

Whats On Offer
- Contract Duration:12 months with two 12-month extension options
- Locations:Canberra ACT Brisbane QLD Melbourne VIC or Perth WA
- Work Arrangements:Full-time (40 hours/week) with potential for flexible arrangements
- Commencement:Dependent on OSA outcome and recruitment lead time (approx. 3 months)
- Travel:Minimal to none

SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Our client requires a minimum NV1 security Clearance however an active or reinstatable TSPV security clearance is strongly preferred. Candidate will be expected to complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) will be required for this position.
