Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planning Officer to join our dynamic statutory planning team. The ideal candidate will carry out high-quality and timely land use planning tasks within Councils Planning Section. As the successful applicant youll be part of a motivated team of professionals and work on a wide range of interesting and at times complex planning applications
In this role youll have the opportunity to lead and assess a mix of private community and public sector projects using your planning expertise report writing skills and strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Key Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Land Use Planning or a related field (e.g. Environmental Design Architecture or Geography) with significant experience and a strong understanding of Tasmanias planning system and statutory processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in resolving complex planning matters
- Skilled in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements and community expectations
Position Hours: Full-Time 76 hours fortnight.
