In this district wide role youll work closely with students families educators and district leaders to ensure that historically marginalized students and families feel seen heard and supported socially emotionally and Youll Love This Role: Lead affinity groups and center student voices Help shape districtwide practices to advance inclusive education Support systems that support belonging and mental wellness Be a vital bridge between community partners families students and ELPS staff Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree Experience working with students and families of diverse backgrounds in academic or social settings. Leadership or coaching experience Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) SEL frameworks trauma-informed practices restorative practices and/or special education processesPreferred Qualifications: DESE Licensure Bilingual or bicultural competencies Familiarity with METCO Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to design and deliver professional development Experience facilitating affinity groups
Coordinator of METCO Family Engagement and Student Belonging1. Reports to the Superintendent and works in collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent Director of Curriculum Director of Special Education and building-based administrators2. Promotes systems strategies and programming to engender safe joyful nurturing equitable and inclusive learning environments in which students feel valued connected and ready to learn.3. Serves as Coordinator for ELPS METCO program4. Assists with the coordination of an aligned PK-12 Multi-tiered System of support for the social emotional mental health and behavioral needs of students.5. Organizes develops and or leads professional development and mandated trainings for staff that are associated with this positions responsibilities6. Coordinates the collection analysis reporting and use of data to create safe joyful nurturing equitable and inclusive learning environments in which students feel valued connected and thrive
