Job Description
We are seeking for
Khne Logistics University (KLU) in Hamburg Germany one of Germanys top research-oriented private business schools and accredited by AACSB is looking for an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) or Associate Professor in Finance with an interdisciplinary research focus i.e. we search for a new colleague whose expertise is not core finance but rather lies at the interface of finance with another business discipline.The position is a full-time appointment to be filled at the earliest possible date.
Your Responsibilities
The professor will excel by conducting original and impactful research in their chosen area. As such we expect from candidates not only commitment to publish their research in top-tier journals (see here for theKLU Journal List) but also a willingness to create scientific and societal impact with that research.
Teaching will cover KLUs finance-related courses but can also include other areas depending on the professors profile. Like other faculty the professor will be expected to participate in industry and university service activities. An interest in applying for third-party funding and the international development of KLU is also expected.

Your qualifications
Applicants need to have completed a PhD in finance business administration economics or a related discipline. We are looking for a candidate with evidence of research excellence and the ability to publish in top-tier journals to enrich and expand the diverse research portfolio of our faculty. At KLU we are dedicated to nurturing a collaborative and interdisciplinary academic culture. For our position we seek candidates who have expertise and interest in working at the interfaces of finance with other business fields such as operations and supply chain management business analytics entrepreneurship ethics family business management marketing organizational behavior or sustainability.
In teaching we seek a candidate with a strong ability and interest to translate research insights into engaging and interactive lectures. Candidates need to be fluent in English as all courses at KLU are taught in English. We particularly encourage candidates to apply who are interested in entrepreneurially co-shaping a still young university.
