Whats the Short Version
The Associate Data Analyst Logistics is responsible for the collection review and analysis of logistics data and dedicated carrier proposals to support decision making. The position works with SanMar transportation and technology partners and SanMar cross-functional groups.
What Will You Be Doing
- Utilize logistics databases/systems to assist in freight reporting and ad hoc route analysis that support logistics network and supply chain process improvements.
- Interpret data and analyze results in response to logistics needs.
- Clean merge manage and ensure quality of logistics data sets.
- Analyze carrier vendor data to support the development and performance of the logistics network.
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards to display results.
- Update the logistics databases within the logistics department.
- Support team members in the running and development of reporting creating compelling narratives and storytelling through data.
- Develop and deliver presentations and reports of analytic findings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain data analysis or related experience
- Experience developing business intelligence reporting is preferred
- Capability to follow through on outstanding issues independently self-directed in work
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work across the company handling confidential information appropriately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of supply chain concepts logistics terminology shipping terms and transportation cost structure across various transportation modes
- Understand contract terms for application in data analysis and modeling
- Strong mathematical skills analytical skills and forecasting abilities
- Detail oriented with exceptional organization and time management skills
- Ability to utilize research skills in solving operational problems managing exception and initiating changes necessary to improve service levels
- Ability to utilize data in order to identify issues trends or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
- Understanding of data warehousing query construction and data modeling
- Proficient in Excel PowerPoint and SQL
Whats Our Offer
Salary Range: Youll earn between $32.56 - $38.46 on an hourly basis depending on experience.
Bonus: Youll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: Youll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

What Should You Expect
Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
SanMars Eastpointe office is located near Seattle WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
